GEOLOGIC HAZARDS

Geologic hazard maps and publications report and show areas that may be subject to the effects of earthquakes, landslides, debris flows, rock falls, poor soil conditions, radon, or floods. The main purpose of geologic hazards maps is to identify where geologic hazards may be present and where additional evaluations are needed to assess hazards and recommend mitigation measures prior to development.
