Emigration Canyon Landslides, Salt Lake County

Record snowpack and subsequent warmer weather has caused flooding and 10 to 15 landslides through the month of April, along with several small snow avalanches in Emigration Canyon. A local emergency was declared in the Emigration Canyon Metro Township on April 13th.

Damages: Two homes have been damaged, one of which has significant damage. Emigration Canyon Road has been closed periodically due to avalanches and landslides.
