Cove Canyon Landslide, Summit County

A landslide occurred on a hill behind a house on Cove Canyon Drive in Park City and was first reported May 5, 2023. Several seeps and springs flow in the area and likely contributed to the cause of the landslide.

Landslide Type: Rotational

Size: Two tennis courts wide

Special Conditions: High-flow springs in the area within the Nugget Sandstone Formation and overlaying colluvium.

Damages: Townhouse decking and hot tub damaged.

Status: Active, moving.
