Welcome to the Utah Arch Challenge!
Take part in the Utah Geological Survey’s 2021 Utah Arch Challenge as we pit some of Utah’s well-known and lesser-known natural arches and bridges against each other for geologic superiority.
Vote each round for your favorite arches as we trim the field of 64 geologic hopefuls to the “Faunal Four” contenders, and ultimately Utah’s sole champion. The outcome of this single-elimination challenge is solely determined by your participation.

Why Arches
Arches are abundant throughout Utah, and the geologic beauty found here is unlike any other area in the world. Almost half of the world’s 15 largest known natural arches are found in Utah.
