Utah Geological Survey efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19

To limit the spread of COVID-19 and protect our staff and community the Utah Geological Survey (UGS) has enacted the following with a goal of limiting operational impacts while encouraging customers to use online or telephone resources wherever possible:

  • The UGS, Salt Lake City office is open with normal business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Masks are recommended in the building. Staff can also be contacted at the phone number or email address found in our staff directory, available here, https://geology.utah.gov/about-us/#directory.
  • The UGS, Southern Utah office is open with both of its two staff members in the office during normal business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), (435) 865-9036.
  • The Natural Resources Map & Bookstore is open Monday–Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also shop online at utahmapstore.com and call us at 801-537-3320 or 1-888-UTAHMAP.
