The Utah Geological Survey prepares and makes available general educational materials on geology, geologic resources, geologic hazards, and landscapes of Utah; loans teaching kits on rocks and minerals, and on dinosaurs; leads field trips for teachers; participates in selected teacher inservices and workshops; prepares curricula materials; writes a Teacher's Corner column in the UGS newsletter Survey Notes; and responds to requests for educational materials and assistance.
