The State Energy Program (SEP) encourages the adoption and use of cleaner, more efficient vehicles such as hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs).

SEP works with the Utah Clean Cities Coalition to promote the advancement of fuel efficient vehicles (including HEVs), AFVs, idle reduction strategies and alternative fuel blends.

SEP also encourages citizens, businesses, and government agencies to take advantage of state and federal incentives for the purchase of cleaner and efficient vehicles.

SEP also works with the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) to provide rideshare and vanpool opportunities to Utah commuters. For more information, please visit the UTA Rideshare Web site.
