State Energy Program

Working 4 UtahStarting August 4, SEP will operate on extended hours to better service your needs as part of Governor Huntsman’s "Working 4 Utah" initiative. The office will be open Monday - Thursday 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. Closed Friday.

If you’ve bought gasoline or paid a utility bill recently, you know how important it is for America to reduce its energy dependence and to develop affordable, energy-efficient technologies to run our homes, businesses, schools, and vehicles.

The State Energy Program, in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, is here to do just that. Managed by the Utah Geological Survey, the Utah State Energy Program supports partnerships that promote and improve energy efficiency and turn renewable energy resources into viable alternatives to fossil fuels.

We encourage you to use this site to stay abreast of energy news and information, policy changes, events, and programs that help drive many of the energy initiatives in Utah.
