Downtown Salt Lake City
Workers quarrying large quartz monzonite boulders in Little Cottonwood Canyon for the construction of Salt Lake City LDS Temple circa late 1880s. This stone was also used for the Utah State Capitol, Assembly Hall, and LDS Administration Building.
