Help for the Interactive Map of Utah's Geothermal Wells & Springs
First LookThe first page shows a map of Utah at 100% and Zoom, Legend, Search, and Print buttons at the left.
Database FieldsClicking on a yellow, orange, purple, or black circle displays the data associated with that point in a data table adjacent to the map.

The ZOOM button increases or decreases magnification of the view of the large map from no-magnification (100%) to the highest magnification (1600%). |

An
inset map of Utah appears at any zoom value other than 100%. Clicking
on the INSET MAP button turns the inset map on or off.
The red box on the inset map outlines the area viewed in the big map. Clicking anywhere on the inset map will bring up that area on the big map.

Clicking on the navigation arrows on the map border allows you
to pan the image.
Click
on the LEGEND button to open a new window containing the map symbols.

Click
on the SEARCH button to search for well name.
Highlight the Result of the search and click the Show
button to see the location of the sample on the map that will be zoomed
in 1600%.
The actual site is not highlighted on the map, perhaps it will be in
the next update.
Map Frame
The
map frame is printed by clicking on the PRINTER button, naming the title,
and then printing. The attributes of the data and the inset map are also
printed.
Data Frame
There are three frames visible in the browser window including map and data frames. Map and data frames have scroll bars. Data is printed using the following procedures for Internet ExplorerTM and NetscapeTM.
Internet Explorer - Frames are printed by clicking the mouse arrow anywhere on the desired frame (data) then, at the menu at the top of the page click File - Print Preview (you will see all frames) on the tool bar select "Only the Selected Frame". Only the specified frame will appear in the preview and only it will be printed.
Netscape - Frames are printed by clicking on File - Print Preview (you will see the entire screen). Click the Right mouse button on the data frame, go to "This Frame" then "Show Only This Frame". Only the data frame will appear in the preview and only it will be printed.
